Product Description:

CyberGauge is an easy to use utility for monitoring your Internet bandwidth information, with email and pager alerts for both non-responsive devices and for interface traffic thresholds. CyberGauge generates Quality of Service (QoS) and billing reports.

What's new in this version:

  • Runs Natively on Mac OS X. For users of Apple Computer's new OS X, CyberGauge for Mac OS has been written to take advantage of the new Aqua interface giving CyberGauge new power for a new OS.
  • Customizable billing and QoS (Quality of Service) reports based on time of day and designated days. CyberGauge now allows selection of , for example, 9 AM to 5 PM rather than full 24 hours as the basis for reports. In addition, CyberGauge allows for the selection of only certain days, for example, Monday through Friday, for which to produce reports.
  • Customizable billing and QoS HTML report formats. CyberGauge 4.0 includes user-modifiable report templates which allow full customization of HTML report formats. Users can now add organization-specific graphics, links and select which of the many billing and QoS statistics provided by CyberGauge will be displayed. Editing these report templates is as easy as starting up your favorite HTML editor and editing the default templates.
  • Auto-configuration of interface, alerts, reports, JPEG creation, and other feedback settings. CyberGauge's new auto-configuration feature greatly simplifies the process of setting up the monitoring of devices, each of which may contain hundreds of interfaces. This feature means a monitored network interface can be configured just once and then CyberGauge which replicates the settings to any number of interfaces, saving the effort of the laborious interface-by-interface hand configuration.
  • Automatic FTP of billing and QoS reports and JPEG bandwidth utilization images. CyberGauge now allows the selection of an FTP server and account information, then uses this information to optionally upload CyberGauge-created reports and JPEG images automatically to that FTP server. This new FTP capability makes uploading and publishing these reports and JPEG images to web servers simple and automatic, providing timely and informative bandwidth information via the web.
  • Alerts when monitored device is "down" and on device recovery. Previous versions of CyberGauge include paging and email alerts when a monitored device becomes unresponsive to bandwidth requests. CyberGauge 4.0 adds the ability to receive an alert when the device becomes responsive again. Network administrators can now have the latest device status sent to them via CyberGauge,
  • Two new alert methods: SNMP traps and, for Windows NT/2000 users, "net send" pop-up alerts. When CyberGauge 4.0 detects an alert condition (device up or down or bandwidth utilization thresholds), an SNMP trap can be sent to a user-designated trap receiver. CyberGauge ships with MIB definitions for these trap messages for easy integration into other network management platforms. For CyberGauge for Windows users, CyberGauge 4.0 also uses the Windows NT/2000 "net send" command to send a pop-up message to another Windows user to instantly alert them of a potentially important network condition. Both these alerts make CyberGauge even easier to integrate into and interact with other network management systems currently in place.
  • Expanded support for Cisco interface descriptions. CyberGauge 4.0 attempts to use two Cisco Systems-specific SNMP MIB variables in order to determine the best names for interfaces for a given device. For specific information about these variables, please contact Neon Software.
