QuarkXPress is powerful layout software with an intuitive, versatile interface that lets you combine writing, editing, and typography with color and pictures to produce dynamic final output.

What's new in this version:

improved integration with Microsoft Excel. Users can import text, picture, and chart data directly into QuarkXPress 6.1 from an Excel workbook. An entire spreadsheet or a range of cells can be imported, and QuarkXPress 6.1 respects formatting information such as borders, colors, patterns, and backgrounds, as well as hyperlink data contained in the spreadsheet.
edit Original XTensions module gives Mac OS users the ability to select a picture then open and edit it in a preferred image editing application.
a new font mapping utility lets QuarkXPress 6.1 users create and manage rules to govern automatic font substitution. Font substitution rules can be imported and exported, so rules can be shared among multiple users. Font mapping rules can be applied to QuarkXPress projects and project templates as well as legacy documents and templates.

QXP 6.5 have lots of bugs. I can't print from it. It smells ;)

Nev features don't work, like the new psd-import.
I'm right now re-installing my version to 6.1.

Don't do the misstake I did by installing it, wait for next version!

If you follow the Mac News sites, you understand that Quark is a costly update (3.3r users regretted 4.0. until 4.11..then 5.0 caused numerous incompatibilities..then 5.01 updater wasted hours of troubleshooting --- "solution was to move your folder to desktop THEN update!" Who wrote that installer, should be shot...now Quark 6 doesn't save down to 4.x version, many XTensions need to be updated...)
A small, but known issue is if you run the update, you need the 6.0 CD. Then you must re-activate the updated version or run in demo mode. If you have both a workstation and portable, and you are permitted to install one version on both, installing the update will require calling Quark Support and getting new activation keys. Try this on a Friday night or Saturday afternoon, when your G5 powersupply blows chow and you need your laptop. Hold time was incredible...and what time is it in India?
Lesson: I'd think long and hard before updating and wait till confirmation that the updater DOES fix the program...or stick with 4.11 or 5.01 in Classic.
