...Because you keep returning to the sites that install while you aren't loking...!!
Ad-Aware SE is a great program and does exactly what it says it will do !! It searches you hard drive - finds the spyware - and lets you get rid of it.
It want to keep it from returning - don't return to those sites - or PAY for a more advanced program. LavSoftware has them, too...

Ad-Aware is an essential tool to have to fall back on. While it won't keep spyware from returning (the best thing for that is a firewall) it will find and destroy anything that is already on your computer. If you have having some problems with spyware, run this and you will be amazed at how well this free program works to weed out the junk from your harddrive!

The VT description makes it look like there is a new Ad-Aware. But clicking on the link goes to LavaSoft main website, and their download link then goes to Download.com and downloads the long-standing version 1.06 from May 27, 2005.
So, is this VersionTracker update of a December 2006 release incorrect?
Or, if there is a new release, how and where to get it?
Though, I do see at Lavasoft site that they are offering 15% off their products during Holiday season.
