Product Description:

Movie edition of the Collectorz.com series of collection managers. It organizes your DVDs, VHS tapes, Video CDs, LaserDisks etc.. It is IMDb enabled, which means that you can add your movies to the database by just typing the movie title; the rest of the movie info will be automatically retrieved from the IMDb website (www.imdb.com). The main screen offers a flexible Explorer-like view on your collection, letting you group, sort and filter the data in every possible way. It has a very comprehensive set of fields, enabling you to catalogue all information you want. Other features: user configurable reports, export to ASCII files and HTML tables, and graphical statistics.

Searching your database:

Completely redesigned Filter screen
Build advanced filters using brackets, AND, OR, NOT, equal, not equal, greater than, less than, contains, wildcards
Save your filters and activate them directly using the Filter menu on the toolbar
Faster Quick Search

Sorting:

Save your sort order definitions and activate them directly using the Sort Order menu on the toolbar
Simpler Sort Field selection screen, just use checkboxes to select the fields you want.

Columns:

Save your column definitions and activate them directly using the Columns menu on the toolbar
Simpler Columns selection screen, just use checkboxes to select the fields you want.

Folder selection:

Save you custom folder field combination and activate them directly from the Folder menu above the tree
Simpler Folder field selection screen, just use checkboxes to select the fields you want.

Automatic Sort Titles:

new "Generate Sort Title" button in Edit Movie screen
Sort Titles are now automatically generated from the Title when using Add Automatically
use Tools / Options / Sort Titles to configure recognized articles (the, a, le, la, die, der, das, etc..)

Automatic Capitalization of Titles
- new AutoCap button next to Title in Edit Movie screen
- Titles are now automatically capitalized when using Add Automatically
- use Tools / Options / Capitalization to configure auto-cap settings and exceptions

Pro: The best and easiest to use software in its product niche.

Con: They're are several other sites they could use for downloading info that have more extensive information on the DVD's and better quality covers.

Overall, buy it its well worth the money. It pays for itself with the first 2 movie purchase mistakes you DON'T make.

I have the Movie, Book, and Music Collectorz products and I cannot say enough good things about them. The staff of Collectorz.com is excellent and the products are fantastic, easy to use, and very beneficial to keeping our inventories cataloged. All of their products do everything I ever wanted and MORE! They are the best value for your money that I have ever found by doing a blind internet search. I am thrilled with them.
