Wish it were a little more affordable, or could even read the *really* old Mac disks, but it's still a very useful app.
2. TransMac does see all attached USB and firewire disks as well as partitions on these disks.
3. Reading and writing to and from the disks works fine.
4. Access to the Mac disks is only possible as Administrator. TransMac does run in the limited access account but no disks are accessible.
5. Security is great. Access to Mac disks only exists as long as the program is running.
Consider MacDrive as an alternative. It is more compatible with IntelMacs and cost only $50
