Product Description:

VNC stands for Virtual Network Computing. It is remote control software which allows you to view and interact with one computer (the "server") using a simple program (the "viewer") on another computer anywhere on the Internet. The two computers don't even have to be the same type, so for example you can use VNC to view an office Linux machine on your Windows PC at home. VNC is freely and publicly available and is in widespread active use by millions throughout industry, academia and privately.

What's new in this version:

  • FIXED: VNC Viewer alerting the user to errors in unauthenticated reverse connections
  • Trial license period increased to 14 days.
  • FIXED: Potential socket-leak in both server & viewer in some circumstances.
  • FIXED: VNC Viewer fails to restore from Minimized when scrollbars are in use.
  • FIXED: VNC Config fails to update NT Authentication settings on Apply.

from then on they are all shareware ... there are plenty of free vnc programs out there so this makes this one start to pale in comparison. :/

Although there is a free version of RealVNC 4.1.1, the link provided above (as of today) is the "Personal" version that requires payment for the server. More importantly, the Personal version includes encryption of the data streams, which the free version does not.

This is listed incorrectly. It is not freeware. Only the viewer is free. The host is not- that's $30USD. Please be more specific when posting here.
