to all the people who keep ranting about itunes, consider how much processor power it uses, what a large window it takes up, its not very userfriendly customization options, etc. you can't tell itunes for example how to display metadata in a playlist, you can't use itunes to play mpc files or many other formats for that matter, and the list goes on and on. ever had itunes' database mess up? you guys are just stuck in your cute little apple world. i have both osx and windows, and one of osx's big problems is the lack of good free software. Whamb is way better than itunes, but xmms is the best osx media player. itunes is constantly messing up id3 tags, also! they don't even make compatible id3 tags, they don't display properly in many programs. also it is a slow and cumbersome program. winamp has excellent hotkeys, it supports every format you could want, even the stupid .m4a format, and it can occupy a very small part of your screen. Plus it is highly customizable. And the media library actually supports a large number of files, like in the tens of thousands, unlike the peice of crap itunes. i am very happy with winamp, and bought a license once years ago. foobar2000 is the only media player for the win platform that gives winamp a run for its money.
