Apple Safari CommentaryLove it still, but problems should be fixed. - Version: 3.1.2.525.21, 2/21/2009 02:34PM PST

Safari for Windows is still my favorite browser but I wish a couple of bugs could be fixed.
1.Safari has a very troublesome relationship with eBay: often cannot maintain connection to ebay server, especially if using back button or link in history list.
Safari often does not recognize secure web page certificates.
Either Safari knows something all of the other browers don't or there is some ongoing compatibility problem.

2. Safari requires a whole page to be completely loaded before it is possible to link away from currently loading page. For example, say you want to link to Apple support forums. You cannot
simply click the Community link while the main page is loading. You have to wait until the page is completely loaded until the Community link is "live"

Safari is fast. Very fast.

Page loading times are at least twice as fast as firefox and 10 times faster than internet explorer!

Very nice user interface and simple to use. There are some great features too, I love being able to search within a page for a certian word or phrase.

The internet looks more polished when safari displays a page, and fonts look smoother.

Security is fine as it supports all the encryption and security that IE7 and firefox do, however it doesnt alert you if you enter a site pretending to be another (but that gets annoying anyway)

If you want the beta of safari 4.0 then that is avalible on thepiratebay.org which is a lot faster than 3.1. But Version 3.1 seems very stable to me.

Download this now and see why Mac users use macs!

I still like Safari very much.
However, I had a bit of a surprise while processessing a PayPal
order...at the last click of the transaction the browser immediately quit
with no alert...not nothin' ... the transaction page just disappeard.

I could only proceed with IE 7 to process the transaction.
Fortunately, the transaction only went through the one time (i.e. no dupicate order)
but it was a bit nerve wracking
