First there is no single registry cleaner that totally cleans out all of the garbage so I use more then one. Second, thru trial and error I have found which cleaners go too far and corrupt your registry. Wise Regisry Cleaner is not one of them. I highly reccomend it. They also have a free Disk Cleaner program which I have found to work well also.

The general rule is, never play around with the registry unless you know what you're doing. Wise Registry Cleaner does NOT clean too much. Just like most other programs like it, you can decide what it is you want to clean. If you're not sure, you have no business running it.

.. or have a backup already by you.

It cleans to much. Restore don't work very well. Windows isn't able to start up properly after.
