QDict 2006 is a translation software containing a concise Arabic-English-Arabic dictionary with over 100,000 entries and a unique morphological analysis engine that was developed as an academic research project. The easy-to-use one-click user interface allows a quick translation of any text word.

The QDict project was founded as a linguistic research project, of which the main theme was the morphological analysis of Arabic words with the practical use of translation. The QDict 2006 translation software uses the outcomes of this research, combined with a Babylon-like one-click user-interface which facilitates the translation of any text word on the desktop.These two languages represent two distinct worlds, each having for the most part its own culture, religion and mentality.Tools such as QDict 2006 may facilitate the access to Arabic text for English speakers (and vise versa) and thus helps to bridge some of the existing gap between the East and the West.
