Product Description:

A Free Windows Syslog message generator which sends Unix type Syslog messages created from the GUI to any PC or Unix Syslog Daemon. Excellent for testing your Kiwi Syslog Daemon or other Syslog Daemon setup and diagnose communication problems. Supports TCP syslog messages for emulating PIX firewall messages. Features include a GUI interface, fast and simple to operate, free to use for as long as you like, able to fully test your syslog daemon setup, can create RFC 3164 compliant message headers.

What's new in this version:

  • Adjusted text to "IP address of this machine" on Source IP field
  • Added code to ensure that source IP address is a valid IP address
  • Removed the "Close" button from the form as it was causing confusion
  • Fixed up and down arrow button backcolor bug
  • Added XP theme support
  • Changed message to "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog"
  • Changed startup position of form to centre of screen
  • Changed default message text to "Kiwi Syslog Message Generator"
  • Added option to send syslog messages from a Ethereal capture file (looks for UDP port 514 only)
  • Modified "Send from tab delimited file" to work with standard Kiwi ISO log format
  • Updated help file
  • Modified installer to use COMCTL32 intead of MSCOMCTL (XP Themes)
