Phone Lister can dramatically improve the speed of telephone extension retrieval for companies still using traditional paper-based solutions or limited in-house applications for phone list management.Phone Lister has a main user screen that shows phone list data in tabular grid format. The data may be sorted in either direction by simply clicking a column. Searches can easily be conducted with a few clicks of the mouse. Users can view formatted phone lists on screen or print them out onto paper. Phone lists can even be viewed in HTML format using an ordinary web browser. The HTML lists have a clickable index for added convenience.Phone Lister is highly configurable allowing an administrator to decide which of the many data fields the users see and in what order. The administrator can also determine which phone list reports are available for users to view and which are for administrator use only.A powerful custom reporting tool is included in Phone Lister. This tool allows phone list administrators to modify any of the existing phone lists or even create entirely new phone list formats. The HTML report generating function can be used as an alternative method of viewing phone lists. The HTML lists may also be used to access the company phone list from within the company intranet or even from the company's Internet web site.Companies with existing phone list data or those who wish to use phone list data elsewhere can benefit from the export/import functionality. Provided your existing data can be output to CSV format, existing phone list data may be imported using the Import CSV function. Data may also be exported to CSV so it may be used in other applications that support the CSV format.The administrator security option prevents the average user from editing phone list data or changing program options.
