Backup-2006 Drive Image is not based on files but on disk clusters. The program reads block of clusters and saves it into a file (image file) or directly to another disk partition (replicate partition).
Backup-2006 disk image allows you to create compressed or uncompressed image file. You can choose the compression algorithm (zlib, PPM, bzip) and the compression level. The image file (compressed or not) can also be encrypted by password. Backup-2006 disk image encrypts image file using AES encryption algorithm.
The image file can also be split to span an image file over multiple CD/DVDs.
