Product Description:

BrowseControl performs Internet Access Control and Application Blocking to lock down on users spending time on non-work related web activities and also prevents users from running unauthorized software such as KazaA. Internet access can be completely blocked, restricted to specified Web sites (White list) or deny access to specified Web sites (Blacklist). The Application Blocker can stop any Windows 32 or 64-Bit application from running.

BrowseControl helps you restrict inappropriate surfing and enforce Internet usage policies in your organization. BrowseControl can: completely block internet, allow access only to Web sites you specify, denying access to any domain you enter and schedule internet ON at only certain times of day. E-mail, FTP sites, Instant Messaging, ICQ, Newsgroups, etc can also be restricted.

In addition to restricting internet activity and Application blocking there is the ability to lock User PCs (blank screen, keyboard, mouse). CD/Floppy Drives can also be easily locked/unlocked.

New Features include:

Windows Vista Support : BrowseControl supports the Windows Vista operating system. All three BrowseControl components (console, server and client) are compatible on Vista.
USB Blocking: Blocking of USB storage devices has now been implemented. This complements the existing feature of blocking CD and floppy devices.
Shutdown Scheduler: Shutdown/Boot time for the Client computers can be scheduled remotely from the Console using the Shutdown Scheduler.
Bypass Applications: Legitimate applications such as FlexLM that require Internet access can now circumvent BrowseControl through the Bypass utility. The communication from applications listed in the Bypass utility will not be blocked by BrowseControl.
â�?��?URL Access Deniedâ�?�? Notification on Browser Page : There are more options available for notifying users when an unauthorized url page has been accessed. The options include displaying a message on a pop-up window, redirecting the user to a specified home page or presenting a message within a browser window.
Operator Permissions : Operators (administrators/teachers who have login rights to the BrowseControl Console) can extend the access permissions to both groups and sub groups of computers/users.
