If you had'nt heard, Apple software (any) and updates for Windows is MALWARE and SPYWARE Example, if you stupidly installed iTunes on your PC, Apple TRACKS your music listening choices AND the new update sneaks Buggy and Security Dangerous Safari browser onto your PC, WITHOUT asking your permission .... Keep ANY Apple crapple off your PC!

Some advantages compared to QuickTime player are the quick and easy install, make an unattended installation or deployment across a large network, no background processes, use a player of your own choice, low on resources, and smaller size.
