A Nony Mouse
This is not the driver to support your nVidia Geforce4 440 Go which would normally be read as an nVidia Geforce4 440MX (depending on the software) The driver this link downloads is not compatible with the GF4 440Go at all- heck- nVidia doesn't have a link that DOES support the card. I eventually found an update to my card's driver at the HP.com site which brought my card up to v7.2.3.0 which was last updated 2/23/05. Nothing since then and there are no detonator drivers in beta waiting either. nVidia and ATI for that matter should clean up their line or make it more than clear as to which cards have updates.. Then create an exhaustive list of supported hardware.. Even in an unsupported section you should list everything that's, uh, not supported. Don't make me guess forever whether my card is the same one that has a MX vs. Go in the name. Functionally they are the same thing it appears.

It's actually version 71.84. - If you've been put off updating your driver due to the RESTART bug that
existed for many versions of this driver, it's been fixed for a while now!
The driver worked OK on WinMe up to version 41.09 , then we had a long period of buggy releases that would
just cause a hang up if you tried to use RESTART rather than shut-down the computer.
Known buggy releases went from v.56.64 up to the one that started working again (v.66.94) when they seem
to have eventually found the problem and repaired it.
This release still works OK and has more bells and whistles than way back at v.41.09.
Geeks will love the multi-screen capabilities, multi desktops, screen rotation and lots of other clever stuff.
The user manual is now downloadable in PDF format rather than some Microsoft Office format that no-one
can read unless they have the latest update of Office! (This was a real annoyance before)
