Paint.net ReviewNECESSARY DOWNLOAD - Version: 3.22 final, 1/24/2008 12:00AM PST

I found this to be a very useful tool for quick photo editing. The best thing about it is that it's free. It lacks the power of the Gimp editing software (Also free and open-source) but has much less of a learning curve. I definitely recommend this to the average user and Gimp to those who want more tools and don't wish to spend the money on Photoshop.

Paint.net ReviewBest free Windows paint program I've found - Version: 3.22 final, 1/14/2008 07:41AM PST

I tried about a dozen free/shareware paint for Windoze, and this one blows them all out of the water.

It is very intuitive (at least it is coming from a photoshop background) and easily does the basic drawing and image editing I've thrown at it.

The only drawback is that it seems to run exceptionally sluggishly. That's a fair tradeoff for excellent user interface and a good mix of basic features.

Paint.net ReviewWoah! What's this?!?.... - Version: 3.10 Beta 2, 10/15/2007 02:53PM PST

I was searching for some software for some Windows friends of mine, for a PC replacement for Intaglio (Yes I'm a Mac man) and found this little jem. Shame it's Windows only, but seems to work fine under VMware Fusion (albeit with the CPU fan going completely nuts!! But then, what's new?? hehe).

Yes it's like an alternative Photoshop, which is great, because I;

a) find GIMP a drag to use

b) don't own Photoshop and am very anti-crack because it makes it very difficult for little jems like this to coexist in the world of the mighty Adobe empire.

You must download this software!!
