SoftPerfect Bandwidth Manager is a full-featured traffic management tool for Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 that offers cost-effective bandwidth control and quality of service based on built-in prioritized rules. These rules can specify a bandwidth limit for each Internet user. This kind of software often called bandwidth shaper, bandwidth limiter or traffic shaper. With SoftPerfect Bandwidth Manager, you can apply speed-throttling rules to specified IP addresses, ports and even network interfaces with no changes to existing network infrastructure. The rich feature set of SoftPerfect Bandwidth Manager is easily managed via the intuitive Windows GUI. The key features of SoftPerfect Bandwidth Manager: * Centralized configuration from a single network location. * Flexible, prioritized, bidirectional rules to specify maximum data rates. * Rules for IP and MAC addresses, protocols, ports (for TCP/IP) and network interfaces. * Transparency for end users. * No software installation is required on client workstations in most cases. * Detailed and comprehensive statistics are available for each rule.

What's new in this version:

Fixed a problem with quotas calculation. It occurred when quota period began on days other than Monday or 1st day of the month

Communications between the service and control tool may now be compressed (by default it's switched off). For those who control the bandwidth manager via slow communication lines like dial-up and GPRS, it should be good news

Peer-to-peer network detection. Since this version the service is able to detect P2P traffic. It solely relies on content analysis techniques and does not analyse TCP/UDP ports

Live bandwidth monitor improved. Now you can choose which rules to include/exclude to/from display

Inverted rules support added. Any source or destination condition can now be inverted. For example, if you specify Source is 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255.255, from this version you can also specify Source is not in 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255.255

Minor changes to GUI. Reset rules command improved. Total column added
