xpy ReviewExcellent Product - Version: 0.8.13, 8/4/2005 01:37AM PST

This is a really excellent and well thought out tool...all the changes it makes can be reversed from within the programme so there is no need to worry about usingit and no need to set a restore point before doing so either...it does have an FAQ and the developer is at pains to tell users not to blindly enable all settings...doing so will make ones computer rather a pain. If one were to block activeX from IE then one would not be able to use Microsoft updates for instance. Treated and used sensibly this tool is a boon.

I ran the program and everything seems to be working fine (after re-boot). But then, I use FireFox as my browser (doesn't everyone?)

xpy ReviewMaybe an advanced PC user would like this; it is secure.. - Version: 0.8.5, 10/23/2004 03:47PM PST

Unless you are a PC expert and want to spend all your time enabling Xcontrols, cookies etc..I would not recommend this product. It definnitely is secure! PROBLEM; too secure. Once I installed xpy I could not get any pages to display in IE. I was looking up some info in encarta; I would enable a page then the next page would be blocked and so on.
WORST; it did not show up in my add/remove programs or have an uninstall feature built in. Thankfully my system restore worked and saved the day.
**If you are still considering downloading this please create a restore point in system restore (even if your an advanced user).
