POP Peeper ReviewDoes exactly what I want! - Version: 3.1, 2/15/2008 12:00AM PST

tidester
I realized some time ago that virtually all of the email that I receive comes in HTML format and that the email notifier that I had been using for many years just wasn't cutting it anymore. It was text based and was no longer being developed so I set out to find a replacement. I tried dozens of them and most of them were nice and I ended up buying one.

Unfortunately and after the fact, I discovered that occasionally (about once a day!) I would get an email that simply would not display in the email notifier. The screen would simply come up blank. So I bought another one that I had previously tried. It suffered from the same problem! One program would display email "A" but not "B" while the second program would display "B" but not "A." This was very perplexing.

Then I discovered POP Peeper. I have been using it daily for almost a month and it has not failed to display a single email! It does all the usual stuff like periodically checking for new email on all of my accounts, allows composition of email and replying to emails along with managing an address book and offers lots of display options. And it's FREE!

I simply don't want to have a bloated email client hogging up my computer's memory and resources all day long but I do need to know whether any important email has arrived. POP Peeper is lightweight, unobtrusive and accomplishes that task nicely. When email does arrive, I can have a quick look at it and dispatch it promptly and let my main email client take over the heavy lifting when required.

I recommend POP Peeper without reservation. I only wish I could get a refund for those other email notifiers I bought!
