Quest Spotlight on Exchange Freeware - 5.0

Rapid auto-discovery Topology Viewer displays a high-level view or your entire Exchange organization, including Exchange 5.5 and Exchange 2000/2003 servers. The Topology Viewer depicts problems graphically and provides a meaningful overview of message flow.

Spotlight provides Exchange administrators with the ability to perform a number of quick diagnostic tests to address some of the more typical help desk complaints, such as, "My mail is slow," or, "The messages I'm sending don't seem to be reaching the recipients." These tests allow the Help Desk staff to determine if further Exchange diagnostics are required.

New Management Actions allow administrators to perform specific actions from within Spotlight on Exchange without switching to native tools. Management Actions include Starting/Stopping Services, rebooting a server, freezing/thawing a queue, mounting/dismounting a store, freezing/unfreezing messages and more. Data Collection and Notifications: When an Exchange server becomes more of a concern, Spotlight provides the capabilities to track and monitor any key aspects of that server from the Topology Viewer. If a counter exceeds its pre-defined threshold, the icon for that server will change color, from green to yellow or red, depending upon the threshold exceeded, be visible from the Topology Viewer, and notifications can be sent to the appropriate parties if required.

Spotlight can be launched from within the MOM console to help with diagnosing core issues that MOM has discovered.
