Apple iTunes CommentaryDownload link doesn't work, complete waste of bandwidth - Version: 4.7.0.42, 12/28/2008 11:35PM PST

DepthRing
A Google search for "iTunes 4.7.0.42" returns this page as the top result. The download link redirects me to "http://www.apple.com/itunes/" where I CANNOT get the 4.7.0.42 version.

This page and site are a complete waste of bandwidth.

Apple iTunes Usage TipEncoding bug - Version: 8.0.0.35, 9/30/2008 02:16PM PST

__This__ version has an encoding bug.
Similar to early version of iTunes 7.
AAC files exhibit numerous dropouts.
Very disappointing.

Apple iTunes CommentaryInstalled fine/Early comments - Version: 8.0.0.35, 9/21/2008 02:19AM PST

JMH54
Normally I would have waited for some reviews...
iTunes 8 installs with no problems.
I have not converted files/CDs yet.
New iTunes Visualizer stresses system resources to the point of negatively effecting playback performance. Music stutters with new version. Classic visualizer is fine.
(Windows XP, SP2, Pentiaum 4, 2.66ghz, 512mb Ram)

Apple iTunes Review"upgraded" to 7.7.0.43, now can't load music to ipod anymore - Version: 7.7.0.43, 7/13/2008 01:22PM PST

I just "upgraded" to iTunes 7.7.0.43 on my Windows XP Pro system, and now I can't load music to my ipod anymore. Constantly get the message "The iTunes Library file cannot be saved. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation."

I'm about to try a Windows System Restore to go back to the earlier release.
Hoping this will fix the problem, which did not exist when I was running the earlier release.

Apple iTunes Troubleshooting ReportIpod volume & effects detieorate after upgrade to 7.6.1.9 - Version: 7.6.2.9, 5/5/2008 08:44AM PST

rakeshjd
Hello,
I upgraded my Ipod to the latest 7.6.1.9 version. After the upgrade, the stereo effect (left to right sound movement & viceversa) vanished. I guess there is a sound contol check in this version.

Anybody faced this issue and knows a workaround? Please mail me at rakeshjd@hotmail.com if possible.

Well I am so angry right now because I can not download anything using iTunes anymore. One of the main reasons I bought an iPod WAS to watch movies, and now I can not use the required software to use it. My family's computer is running Win 2K on it, and now I can't even use my iPod for the reason I wanted it. Nice going, Apple.

It's been buried in the press by the Apple Hacks in the media (paid off by Apple) that Safari is buried in the installer with iTunes and when installed will take Primary Browser away from Firefox, Seamonkey, IE7 or whatever you are using!! Safari is riddled with Security Holes, it's UNSAFE!!

Apple iTunes CommentaryFavorite, with Caveats - Version: 7.6.1, 3/12/2008 09:27PM PST

JMH54
I have used iTunes ever since it was Casady & Greene's SoundJam MP (retail).
ITunes is one of the absolute best free applications around.
I must say, however, that it is beginning to become a bit cumbersome and
bureaucratic. iTunes 7.6.1 froze me out of my account until I updated to the latest
iteration of 7.6.1xx..i.e. it forced the update...
(perhaps there was some un-announced security vulnerability)
Plus, I think about 50 percent of the time I have to re-agree to the Terms in order to
spend money at the iTunes store.

thanks for offering another location to download the software instead of just from Apple's servers. They get jammed during the release month. Now to find iPhone updates on this site.
