Mozilla Firefox ReviewWould Love It A Little Faster But Nothing Else Compares To Firefox! - Version: 2.0.0.12, 2/8/2008 12:00AM PST

I WOULD like more speed with Firefox but I wonder if Safari was one-fourth as customizable and accommodating as Firefox if it would manage the same touted speed. There is simply so much you can do with Firefox - make text larger; size images; manipulate web pages; add tool bars; add enhanced security, privacy, and search features; change the appearance every day of the month; manage iTunes without leaving the browser; read e-Books right in the browser; care for photos, movies, and other media in the browser; get translations on the fly while browsing; and even further educate yourself while using Firefox. There are so many add-ons, themes, configurations, dictionaries, and extensions, one would be hard pressed to explore them all. Most of those enhancements are not available in Safari. Apple has "hard-wired" a meager list of features in Safari AND doesn't seem to put customers' desires high on their development list. Mozilla has an efficacious feedback process and is to be praised for its response to supporters' requests.

I wonder also if all fault for dilatoriness in Firefox should be laid at Mozilla's feet. I find Leopard and other Apple features more sluggish and hoggish than Firefox and believe Apple may be causing a portion of third-party problems.

Omniweb and Opera are generously featured and each nicely enhances the browsing experience in its own way. Firefox - for me, however - is hands down the champion of web browser innovation. I suppose, in the end, it comes down to what is more important to the individual.

If Mozilla did work a Ferrari engine into Firefox, I definitely would jump for joy (ditto for Leopard), but if just a handful of the Firefox accommodations were available in Safari I'd...well, I'd be so shocked, I'm not sure what I would do!

Yes email works I.E works and so does Netscape. I have matched up the settings and I can't find any difference between the two computers. Based on all the complaints I am reading about this problem it makes you wonder how did they let this version get out with a major bug like this in it???

Mozilla Firefox Troubleshooting ReportJavascript problem with appearance of page - Version: 2.0.0.1, 1/29/2007 08:04AM PST

acammer
I am having a javascript problem with the appearance of a page my company created. When you load the main homepage of the site the navigation at the top is moved towards the left side of the screen. However, if you go to all the subpages it looks normal how it should. If you are on the main page and you resize the screen and then resize it back to full size, it then looks normal also. Does anyone know what would be causing this and how I can fix it?

The site is http://www.danielsfund.com if you would like to see what I mean.

I can no longer use or YOURJuniper VPN solution, it hangs when trying to launch the app. I can do it through 1.5 and through explorer. Other than that, I still love it.

Mozilla Firefox ReviewYour themes from 1.5 might not work - Version: 2.0 RC 3, 10/14/2006 04:00AM PST

RufusTheRuthless
Before you try it you might want to consider that your themes you had for 1.5 might not work with the new version. My favourite theme certainly doesn't, which is no good. However a theme is cosmetic and we live in a virus encrusted net so I am going to stick with the latest version because apart from that prob Firefox continues to work fast and looks good.

Mozilla Firefox Commentary- rubbish, rubbish, rubbish - - Version: 1.5.0.6, 8/7/2006 02:15PM PST

ghostlexx
downloaded it to my mum's laptop..
..firefox will not connect to the internet.

email program connects and downloads fine..
..mozilla connected and downloaded firefox fine - so internet connection is fine

no explanation of why it won't connect, no advice or help - since computer can't go online to access help/internet [using firefox]

i don't care why it doesn't work, i don't care that the solution is somewhere on the internet - i do care that it's not working and not for any good reason.

if it's changed setting and now can't access the internet, why did it do that ??

my mother is now on the internet with another browser..
..while firefox maintains that it can't connect.

sorry, this just is not good enough - and definitely not something i will recommend to anyone
