Product Description:

iPodSync is a tool for Windows users to keep your Microsoft Outlook calendar and contact information synchronized between your PC and your iPod.

This is how it works: iPodSync attaches to Outlook using automation and analyzes your contact and calendar information. Contact information is exported using the industry standard vCard format and appointment information is exported using iCalendar format. The exported contact and calendar information is transferred to the iPod where it can be interpreted and displayed. iPodSync can even sync Outlook notes and tasks. Because the iPod does not directly support notes or tasks, they are synced as a special type of contact. This should enable you to keep serial numbers, passwords, etc on your iPod.

You specify what information you want to sync and iPodSync does the rest. No complicated configuration or confusing interface here! iPodSync's Aqua style GUI would even make a Mac user feel at home. You can view more screen shots here. iPodSync now supports the ability to sync multiple Outlook contact and calendar folders, including support for multiple iPod calendars, tasks and notes.
Here?s the caveat, you do need a mechanism for mapping your iPod to a drive letter in Windows. If you?re using a Windows version of iPod you should not have any problems. If you're using a Mac version, I highly recommend XPlay, (Whether you have an Windows or a Mac iPod, XPlay is the way to go!) A special thanks goes to Patrick Barsby for beta testing and creative feedback above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks to everyone else that offered to assist in early beta testing. As always, suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

I tried this and it worked like a chram! I love it...I even did the news and the weather..You have to search for it under notes. The only problem I have found is my large inbox seems to have stumped the pod as I have about 1100 messages! Oh well...

I've tried iPodSync on two computers (Win 2K and XP) and it hangs every time I switch to the Advanced tab, and choose Outlook. It stops while the message "Querying Outlook for folders" (something like that).

Sometimes I get the message that Outlook is not responding to the application, but in every case, iPodSync is using 60% of the CPU and Outlook uses the rest.

I would buy this application if I could get it to work for me. Perhaps there is a setting I need to change in Outlook, but I don't know what.
