3D Photo Browser Light is a file explorer, which makes viewing, editing and organizing your images, 3D files and audio files easier. For each directory, 3D Browser Light displays high quality thumbnails for each recognized files, computed in a background thread. 3D Browser Light recognized more than 60 image formats, many 3D formats and most of audio files. Several customizable display modes, sort modes and files filters makes browsing directories very comfortable. Images or scenes can be displayed or edited with the 3D Browser Light viewers or in an external application, using the fast application access toolbar, drag & drop, or the application selection dialog. Each file has its own property sheet which displays information such taking-picture condition (for images issued from a digital camera) or faces & points number, materials information for 3D files. 3D Photo Browser Light has an image viewer and an OpenGL viewer for a high-quality display of your images and 3D scenes. Viewers include slides show feature and navigation features to display quickly files contained in the directory. The image viewer can display the image or the alpha channel. It allows conversion, and offers basics editing features (rotate, flip, color inversion...). The OpenGL viewer clearly shows scene hierarchy and materials. It has several rendering mode (wireframed flatted, smoothed, smoothed/wireframed...) and displays textures when they exist. It also includes Polygon Cruncher, a decimation tool as an extension. Point of view is defined using the display features (zoom, pan, auto zoom...) and can be used to update the current scene thumbnail or as the default point of view for thumbnails computation. 3D Photo Browser Light also allows playing audio files easily. It displays useful information for MP3 files (author, title, length...) in the tooltips and manages associated files. 3D Photo Browser Light offers many others features to discover: try it!
What's new in this version:
Improvements:
3D:
Merge Coplanar Faces now handles correctly UVs.
Wavefront I/O now reads several UVs for a given vertices.
Lightwave Scene 9.2 format is now supported.
Maya I/O keeps map names.
STL import now welds confused vertices.
Improved materials support when exchanging scenes with 3ds Max.
Plugin 3D Photo Browser for 3DS Max 2009.
Polygon Cruncher:
Geometrical optimisation quality improved.
UV optimisation greatly improved when textures breaks exists. Now Freeze UV discontinuities setting can't be let unactivated in most of case, which gives better optimization ratio. This setting is not anymore automatically activated when keeping UVs is selected.
Symmetry has been improved (symmetry criteria is now based on topology, not only geometry).
Last settings are kept for a better ergonomy.
Fixes:
Application:
Non standard MP3 files can crash the application.
Application crashes on particular images (ie. some png with exif)
IFF files crash the application.
HDRI files crash the application.
Print catalogue: Printer Paper names are not correct.
Application crashes when Corel X3 is setting up.
Correcting 3D I/O: C4D, COB, DXF, VRML
3D:
Scene List panel scrambles thumbnails after a file save.
