Product Description:

WatchDirectory automatically starts tasks when the directory contents that this program is monitoring changes (a file or directory is added, deleted or changed).
You can choose from the following predefined tasks:

Automatically Copy Files.
Automatically Email when files are created/deleted.
Automatically Delete Files.
Automatically Upload (ftp) Files (supports Proxies, Passive mode and Secure FTP).
Automatically create thumbnails for your pictures.
Automatically Generate HTML.
Automatically Generate auditing reports for changed/deleted files (Who Did It?).
Automatically Compress (zip) files.
Automatically Uncompress (unzip) files.

Automatically start .bat files. Several sample .bat files are included:

Automatically convert Postscript files to PDF.
Automatically print PDF.
Automatically print Microsoft Word documents.
Log file system activity.
Automatically start your own .bat file.

Other highlights: Can monitor local and network directories for changes. Efficiently monitors directories: watchDirectory receives a notification from Windows when the monitored folder changes. Easy to start automatically at system start-up as a Windows Service application. Available in a Standard and Professional edition.

What's new in this version:

Fix: When sending email without attachments, the email could get corrupt.
New: You can now use POP3 as authentication method on the email settings dialog. This will connect to your POP3 server before connecting to your SMTP server.
New: You automatically append the contents of a file to all outgoing emails. You can for example use this to add a standard disclaimer.
New: The "Audit plugin" can now be configured not to write the "default audit files".
New: The scheduler has an option to force the schedule. Previously it would process all events that were "due". With this new option selected, the scheduler will wait for the next allowed period.
New: The "Auto Upload" plugin will retry uploads if they fail due to the FTP server being down.
