Guiffy is a visual file compare diff tool, folder compare, and merge tool and component. Guiffy is a cross-platform application available on Windows, MacOS, Linux and Unix. Downloads are packaged as InstallAnywhere kits to make setup a snap. Guiffy can be used to compare/merge source files of any type (with builtin UNICODE, MBCS, and over 150 File Encoding formats support).
Guiffy also provides sophisticated folder and file tree compare and synchronization capabilities. Plus, a command line interface is included for use in scripts and integration with CM/SCM systems (Including: CVS, Perforce, and StarBase). Guiffy's 3-way smart merge, called SureMerge, surpasses all other merge tools with its intelligent functionality and ease-of-use. And, Guiffy comes with a Java API package so you can use it as a component in your Java applications.

I don't hate those Friday afternoon 3-way merge as much as before

Finally a three way merge that I can trust. We have tried all the merge products and for one reason or another none left me a comfortable feeling about their results and until someone told me about Guiffy, we had gone back to doing merges manually because of all the double checking we needed to do. Since no one ever volunteered for this job I usually ended up doing it at night or weekends when no one is around. Thanks to Guiffy I have regained at least something that resembles a life.

I have been using this program on Mac OS X and windows. It works great! The interfaqce is somewhat to be desired. it's not clean or easy to understand, it could use a much better UI. The price is a bit much for what it is. Should be $29.
