Gadget provides a variety of utility functions including:

Added Circles test pattern.
Added Generalized test pattern screen and settings panel. This test pattern allows specification of colors, spacings, sweeps, and steps.
Added Quick Set panel for configuring size and aspect ratios.
All test pattern screens now include the aspect ratio in title.
Added RPN Calculator.
Added Pixel Clock calculation tool.
Added String View tool.
Reworked the Image Size tool.
Reworked and enhanced the Scaling tool.
Added partial text encoding, variant, and Unicode support to the Characters and Text tools.
Now loads screen sizes, aspect ratios, refresh rates, paper sizes, and bits/pixel from a gadget.txt file.
Added ability to copy/paste screen sizes, paper sizes, and colors among tools and screens. Added "Swap" buttons where applicable.
Added File Save menu item to all tools and screens.
Mandelbrot tool is now off by default.
If the preferences file cannot be saved in the system standard place, the application now attempts to save into/load from the application's directory.
