I am running Media Center.

I have auto update switched on, and believe I have all available updates. Microsoft seems to agree with that. Nonetheless, ...

with windows media player minimized, a song playing. I move the mouse to the bottom of the screen. My windows bar comes up. I see the tab for WMP. it could use a progress bar in that tab. so I can see the progress of the current song(file) without opening the player itself. thanks have a good day. hope you make lots of money.

At work I made the mistake to upgrade the WMP 11. After that I spent half day trying to fix the computer, because the "regsvr32.exe" start multipling itself worst than a virus, and my computer was at 100% processor utilization. My advice... change to Linux or buy yourself a Mac.

improved but nothing revolutionary about it. URGE seems to have promise.

Microsoft Windows Media Player Troubleshooting Reportrip CDs into WMA - Version: 10.0.0.3646, 10/8/2004 11:17PM PST

the looks of the version 10 is good. when i was fully confident that it is a great product, i ripped 6 CDs, and found that about 5 of them had problems.

the problem lies with the fact the files (ie tracks) were filed in the wrong locations.

eg: track 1, 2 ,3 ,6 ,7, 10 were filed under the album
but tracks 4, 5, 8 , 9 were files elsewhere

I ended up rolling back to V 9

delete all my ripped songs and did it all over again
version 9 is OK

bad , bad , bad experience

music in Window Media Format. You might as well hand Microsoft the keys to your house, as they will own you. You are locked-in baby!
