DON'T UPGRADE TO 7.4! too many problems you don't want to deal with will immediately arise. stick with 7.3 and your life will be much easy

Apple QuickTime Troubleshooting ReportMP4 problem - Version: 7.1.6, 6/28/2007 03:53AM PST

MP4 playback is stuffed now, mouse locks up in these long pause and the video comes up all scrambled. Going back to an older version that used to work is now no good either (now has the same problem)

iTunes also has the same problem, exception being when you don't have the video panel up it'll play the audio perfectly, bring the video up and it all goes to rubbish again.

Apple QuickTime Usage TipWindows Quicktime screws up flash audio? - Version: 7.1.6, 5/6/2007 10:49PM PST

I am assuming it was the update of QT to 7.1.6 on 5-2-07 that did it, but I am no longer able to get audio on a flash-based site like Youtube. Anyone else having same problem? Any fixes? I use Firefox and IE, and its the same on both.

Don't realy know why nothing that calls for QT, other than on it's site, is not working properly.
Getting the big "Q" with question mark in center on almost very site that calls for it.
Installed ei7, then uninstalled, then QT installed and uninstalled, re-tried with other possible codecs, still no change.
Have no idea why it is behaving this way, other than earlier version had no problems and now, not even Google, myspace videos won't show. (I know it may be flash, but don't know why "Q" is showing)

Apple QuickTime Commentary.mp4 not playing properly - Version: 7.1.3, 10/20/2006 10:45PM PST

Phil Atley
Several of us installed itunes 7.01 and Quicktime 7.1.3.100 for our new 80 GB black ipods. The syncing goes OK and the mp4 videos play in the ipod, but in itunes, they give an orange and green screen with just sound. .mpg videos play fine in itunes. Tried the .mp4s in Quicktime and they did the same thing. Reinstalled 7.04 and they played fine--however, won't work with the ipod, so put back the new versions. Will just wait for update to Quicktime since it syncs and plays ion the ipod.

Video plays fine in Windows XPSP2, but no sound. Searched and searched for a solution. Until then..... *
