will it work out ok for me, only seem there a windows that open up and url link is netscape.aol.com were i really hate aol.com totally. about to dump netscape totally, i find out they join together with aol. the Netscape Navigator open a window to aol site when i open it up. i will still use Netscape Browser shortcut there is no aol at all when use. why do aol have to butt into something that is good and totally trash it. rated lower; do to the aol crap in it. overall: seem buggy when it startup "Netscape Navigator" no plug-ins listed for this one at all, go to page only list item you could install but no then to get as theme or plug-ins for netscape. using ether Netscape Navigator or Netscape Navigator browser not even update still 8.3 version Features: there is less item in this then the older versions Quality / Stability: runs ok thats about it not happy with it, knowing that aol has a hand in it. yes it crash 7-times out 10x on me. Price: freebie still ok, only know will they ok AOL adware, minner cookies to it now? if so i dump them like a ton of bricks.

Netscape Navigator Usage TipE-Mailing - Version: 8.1.2, 11/29/2006 12:49AM PST

Netscape Navigator ReviewExcellent and powerful program - Version: 8.1.2, 9/27/2006 08:04AM PST

Netscape now does a few things that I find very useful.

It can load sites using either FireFox or MSIE, which is great for the idiotic sites that only work in MSIE.

It has spyware/phishing protections built in, so that I have to worry less about my not-so-techno-sophisticated colleagues' (whose computers I manage) computers.

Best of all, it's password/username-remembering scheme is #1 password protected and #2 allows multiple "passcards" for each website. So it's (relatively) secure, and if I need to log into, say, a bank's website for a few different companies with different usernames/passwords, it remembers each one, and I can select each one by a name I assign. That's something that no other browser does, and it's incredibly useful for me.

As for crashing, speed etc., Navigator seems to function at about the same level as Firefox, which is to say very well.

For many years I've been using Netscape (for Mac Intosh and Pc) and I think that this is the first time that I feel it so comfortable, fast and free of freezes.

Netscape Navigator ReviewKept Crashing & Crashed PC - Version: 8.0.2, 7/24/2005 04:01PM PST

Installed 8.0.2 on my parents' PC the other night. It crashed consistently on the Intellicast radar page. It also crashed eventually after using it for a while. Restarts didn't help. When it did run, it seemed to be inconsistent about the opening of new tabs. Worst of all, when keeping the program open for a while, it would crash the entire PC - sounds like a memory leak.

I have been using Netscape since version 4. This new version has a great interface. It browses well, and is my #2 browser. (after Firefox)

Haw can it be so ugly? Did the developers not see actual interfaces at Apple and others? Too ugly to be true.

It has some privacy issues that may convince you not to bother - they did me.
