SpamDetective - 2.09

SpamDetective is an utility that assists you with your email. It periodically checks one or multiple email accounts (POP3, IMAP4, MAPI and hotmail) and notifies you when new mail arrives (by playing a sound, showing a notification window). You can preview and even delete mail without actually downloading it into your mailprogram.

Additionally SpamDetective features an automatic spam detector, which works based on a unique fuzzy logic approach. Spam can either be automatically marked for deletion in the message list, moved to a special folder on your mail server or automatically deleted (depending on how sure it is about the decision).

Unlike some others, this program works right out of the box without hours of entering friend's email addresses. It does not kill a mail, just because it contained one bad word or two question marks in the subject field (you probably won't believe it but we have seen programs that do this).

Spam Detective is a real detective and not a mail-killer with an itchy finger. It looks at various indications (words, formatting, sender domain check, list of adressees) before making a well balanced decision.
