The Cinepak AVI Update is designed to update previous versions of the basic Cinepak AVI codec, or to add the codec to systems where it was not previously installed. If you are running Windows 3.1, do NOT update to this version. If you are a developer who would like to support Windows 3.1 clients, please write us at license@cinepak.com.
