CA-1® WorkStation� is a Unicenter TNG� application that simplifies and allows centralization of the administration, management and control of MVS tape resources from a Windows NT workstation. CA-1 WorkStation allows users to access the tape management functions of CA-1 from a graphically oriented desktop workstation environment that follows the Microsoft Explorer paradigm. CA-1 WorkStation provides quick, object-oriented access to information that traditionally has not been accessible from a single, centralized application. With CA-1 WorkStation, users can quickly and easily display volume and file information from the CA-1 Tape Management Catalog (TMC), change expiration dates, check volumes in from, or out to, off-site vaults, find out what tapes are mounted on which tape drives, and perform a host of other functions.
