I've gone through like 5 different app titles and or versions attempting to do some larger uploads which are around 50 megs but may contain over 20,000 files. First thing is my old faithful Transmit for OS X let me down as did all the other clients available. CuteFTP on OS X had some problems with failed transfers and crashed on me a few times.
Now CuteFTP Pro on Windows as with both platforms has some interface functionality I dont' care for like a Site Manager concept vs simply favorites as in Transmit.
The synchro functions are confusing and darn right dangerous if you don't know what you are doing or not used to that functionality. It may be fine; I just don't fully understand it coming from a Mac Finder functionality background.
What I really like about it is the the Queue window and how it give such a plethora of info with lots of visual feedback and hey cool color coding.
It did not crash on me and managed to upload around 30,000 different files for me in various directories.
Once in a while it would show a failure on a fail to STOR or the negotiation for it and mark the file. That is a hugely great thing. This way I just went back and reselected that item and queued for transfer again.
I did have it lose touch with the server while away and lost 4 hours. Hopefully there is way to have it reconnect. It has several settings for that I played with, but I'm really green on them.
Overall it looks like a really solid and robust app with a much better than usual support staff with the appearance of a mature company behind it as compared to many of the other choices out there that look more like a one person coder and support person.
This is all coming from a guy with 15 years on Macs that uses both now.

any mention of CuteFTP Pro 2.0 on the website... fake news? Or hacked database? Whatever...
