Product Description:

This SoftPaq provides the necessary drivers for the Compaq Internal 56K PCI (PM560LKI) Modem, an internal PCI modem card with functions including data, fax, TAM (telephone answering machine) and V.80 video-ready interface support. The V.90/K56flex PCI modem card design is based on Lucent Technologies L56xVCS (Venus) PCI controller-based modem chip set. The Venus-PCI chip set is a new and integrated member of the Lucent Venus family of controller-based modems. It has a high level of integration with V.90 and K56flex technology, and provides all the advantages of controller-based modems, such as operating system independent operation and minimum CPU loading.
