Product Description:

Symantec Speed Disk? 5.1 for Windows NT? and Windows 2000? provides effective, centrally managed disk optimization that keeps servers and workstations running at peak performance. It not only defragments volumes, it completely optimizes them. Unlike defragmentation utilities, Symantec Speed Disk? optimizes everything, including the MFT (Master File Table), PageFile, free space, open files and metadata. Moreover, it doesn't require the system to be rebooted at all, which is key for server and workstation uptime. Finally, it doesn't require key processes such as anti-virus protection to be turned off or a lot of free space to be available on the disk.

Symantec Speed Disk Usage TipDo Not update if using windows 2000 SP4... - Version: 5.1, 11/15/2003 07:20PM PST

masp
As with the previous Speed Disk software, it does it job well. However, there appears to be a problem with the latest version (v 5.1.2) which can be downloaded via the Live Update service. It does not recognise Windows 2000 SP4 and reports that it is incompatible with Windows NT3.51 eventhough the running operating system is Windows 2000 SP4. I have not been able to find a solution to this on all the relevant websites or the Internet via Google....anyone has any ideas?
