On the upside, this program is actually freeware (not shareware) although they do ask for $20 to support their efforts, which is quite reasonable. On the downside I couldn't get it to work. On a Windows XP system I tried clicking on the console and the gui .exe files but nothing happened. Not sure what the problem is. If you can get it to work, it may be worth checking it out but for now I can't recommend it.

7-Zip ReviewVery nice. Especially… - Version: 2.30, 10/22/2001 10:20AM PST

how it shows zip files basically as folders, which should reduce confusion for new users. It's also free/beta, whereas powerarchiver, my personal fave, just went to a pay-to-use model after years of being free.
