SharkPost - 1.0 Build 20030724.3

SharkPost is a fork (i.e., variant) of Power-Post 2000 v1.3 build 25 by Chris Morse. Power-post is an application designed to post files to usenet newsgroups. Chris is very generous in his release of his code to the rest of us.

Bill (the creator of Sharkpost) and several other experienced usenet posters have identified areas of Power-Post which could be changed to make it easier for us to post. bill decided to make the changes himself and slowly improved the code for his own use. He was convinced by others to release the variant to usenet. He does so with caution. Many of the PP2K forks have serious flaws. Some of them have no restrictions on the lines/message, crossposting or subject lines. bill does not wish further harm to usenet and have attempted to put reasonable restrictions on how SharkPost can be used. If you get an error message, He put it there with good intensions. If you feel the restriction is in error, read your configuration file. He has relented and allowed some override switches in the configuration file.

SharkPost has thousands of lines of new code. Most of that code is centered on two areas - "set and forget" and "eye candy". Nearly every part of the user interface has been modified to allow you more control, but most can be reset to the PP2K defaults.

There currently is no installer or uninstaller. Extract these files to any directory and run them. Delete all sharkpst.* files to uninstall, Use the General Settings controls to uninstall any sound effects before deletion if you turned that feature on.
