What's new in this version:

Taxes

Updated Quicken to reflect changes in the 2005 tax rates.

Scheduled Transactions

Fixed a problem that caused the number of payments remaining for a scheduled transaction to be displayed incorrectly.
Eliminated a situation that caused transaction data from a scheduled invoice to be entered incorrectly.

Online Banking

Resolved a compare to register issue that incorrectly displayed the status of a payment after it was accepted.
Removed a Quicken restriction that prevented duplicate account numbers for different account types.

Quicken BillPay

Resolved an issue that prevented one-time or reoccurring payments from being transmitted with a 4 day lead time.

Investments

Fixed an investment transaction problem that incorrectly recorded transfers from a linked checking account.
Reduced the frequency of appearance of the recalculation dialog within investment forms.

File Backup

Fixed a problem that prevented backing up a Quicken file to multiple floppy disks on Windows 98 and ME operating systems.
Fixed a problem that prevented opening a Quicken file after restoring it.

File Validate

Improvements to File Validate are also included in this release. Please use File Validate if you are experiencing any program crashes. From the Quicken File menu, choose File Operations, and then choose Validate.

Lack of support - Version: R5, 5/10/2004 07:38PM PST

I had the misfortune of updating my Quicken 2000 to Quic ken 2004. Now I ordered this from Intuit directly and received a R3 version, back level from the beginning. When I first install after making a complete backup of product directory I installed and that's when the problems began. When I would open certain report, planning, taxes and just other normal screens it kept dieing. I searched the useless website and just found the phone number for tech support. I made the second mistake and called. After having them hangup on me several times and doing their survey in which I gave them and 'F' in huge red letters. I finally found the issue myself while on hold for the 10th plus time.
I then called back again(yes I am a real gluten for punishment) for another issue and again they don't speak American, I can't decide what they speak. They were again unable to help. I finally found this site and found that I should have and 'R 5' version. Well I had done an update or so I thought under prior version when I updated my stock quotes I always got software fixes. NOT ANY MORE!!!!!!! Now you have a separate spot to pull product updates down. This has been an absolute nightmare!!! I have wasted over 8 hours of time trying to correct their bugs and shoddy support.
This will be last Intuit product I ever buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
