ACD is moving forward with new versions but does not solve the problems. Since version 7 the software is buggy and crashes often, especially when you switch from single photo to directory view. It always often staying as a unfunctional task and takes memory.

ACDSee Photo Manager Reviewstick to 5 if you can... - Version: 6.0.2, 3/29/2005 12:55AM PST

great program, but...

I got known to it by version 5 and found it really great and stable to use. At that time I could only buy the newer version 6.0.2. - what a pity that there are so many bugs in this version (example: if you draw image files in a subfolder in the same folder frame (one of the most frequently needed actions), you may just go and drink a good cup of tea). Updating to a newer 6 caused my xp to crash frequently. Now I stick to 6.0.2 with the workarounds I found and _thinking_ about buying 7.
