This is terrible. Said my version of IE7 was one number and when i checked it was a later version than the recommended update it suggested. this update was not even for my OS which is Vista. very unhappy about this. CNET appearded to have recommended a dud!!!

...of software being misreported, or hardware that drivers are misreported...I think I have been duped here as well. CNET downloads was a place where you could get reputable software that allowed you to test the full version for thirty days, figure out if it was worth it and then pay the price to keep it. I would never have bought this seeing how poorly it does after just two weeks.

Ater reading your testmonies. I can relate to the entries. My version of this software e.g. is correct. I have the latest version, So why if Versiontracker job is to keep me upto date and I paid a good amount of money for the service is it trying to tell me to update to the latest version when I already have the latest version. I can understand if I haven't updated Versiontracker but I just purchased this product. If this keeps up I will ask for my money back.

I'm being told I need to update IE but the installed version is 7.00.6000.16575. The suggested version is 7.00.6000.16512. As a new user, I am feeling like I may have made a mistake buying this program. I have other programs that are current that VersionTracker doesn't recognize, suggesting I replace them with the same one--including VersionTracker!

Why does Versiontracker Pro 4.0 for Windows that is installed on a "Vista" run PC indicate to me that: (1)It's OWN PROGRAM IS OUT OF DATE [even though the version numbers shown are the same (4.0)]; and, (2) IE 7 version 7.00.6000.16386 for VISTA is out of date and should be rplaced by version 7.00.6000.16512 that is expressly stated that this version is for XP users (even your own shortcut page states this)!!!

Apparently there is no version of this version of Internet Explorer for X64 bit of XP, at least I cant find one.

What kind of version number is this: 7.00.6000.16512, etc. WOW, how many updates does Microsoft plan?
I really wish version numbering would go back to significant changes to the software, and not just every issuance of a typo correction or security breach. Those can be handled separately.
