I own Emagic Platinum and my friend was on a budget and needed something like it. I was recommended to check out N-Track, so I informed my friend and he purchased it for $45. I then installed it for him and through the course of 9 months we've used about every function on this shareware application. For the price, it's brilliant. You have VST and DirectX support. You can install numerous plug-ins, ript to WAV or MP3, and has an unlimited amount of audio or midi tracks you can use depending on your CPU. Both he and I exchange audio files from Emagic to N-Track. What more can I say? If you are looking to enter the digital recording realm and aren't sure how in-depth you wanna go, give this app a test drive, I think you'll enjoy it, I do and I'm a Platinum user.

studio software. Nice mixing of midi, audio and vst tracks. It is no CubaseVST but for the price it cannot be beat! it does have a few screen redraw problems and loading of dx and vst effects could be faster! For the price, easily overlooked and a must have.
