Note from the VersionTracker Editors:
Available driver-update information is often extremely sparse, and it can be difficult to be sure that you have found the right driver for your device. We strongly recommend that you consult your hardware manufacturer for advice on updating drivers; or employ a diagnostic tool such as VersionTracker Pro that can analyze the existing drivers on your system and match them to available upgrades. SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio CommentaryOS no good? - Version: 6.10.1.5180, 11/17/2007 07:57AM PST

nweil
Tried for less than one month? How about 20 minutes? Running XP SP2 on HP Compaq's highest end laptop, nw9440, a little more than one year old, already ran out of space on 100GB HD,a month or so ago and replaced it with a 200 GB HD plus have more than 1 TB of external storage. Have so far called for updating a half dozen of the drivers on this machine which VT says are not current. (19 of 50 said to be superceded) Half of the six processed so far refuse to install, with a message which says: "The operating system is not supported by ________ " If anything, it should read, "This driver is not supported by the operating system" But how is this possible in the first place? Am I being supplied drivers for Vista? VT has to know what my OS is. Please fix or explain this. Thanks.
