What's new in this version:

  • Full text history search is now part of the address field, with better results and better performance.
  • Introduced a new security notification scheme in the address field; see Security.
  • Added alternative tab-closing behaviors. The preferences now include the following options
  • Ctrl+Left and Ctrl+Right for Back and Forward are no longer specific to Mac, but also apply to Windows/Unix.
  • "Save Draft" shortcut Ctrl+S removed due to the new autosaving of drafts (change is not new but was not listed in previous documentation).
  • Shortcut for "Add attachment" in the compose window is now Ctrl+O instead of Ctrl+S.

After updating Opera by installing the new version over my existing one , I read this message on your screen, "Opera is not installed on any of your machines monitored by VersionTracker Pro." Actually it is and it was before this download to update.

Does this mean that I need to compare a listing from XP's add/remove programs, or some other source for what I do have on my machine, to VersionTrackerPro's list of my installed software? If I notice any other differences how would you suggest I notify you?

I just like it... it is the best.

ps.: manders, check your cache settings, check your hard disk settings maybe dma is disabled ?!? Opera does no crunch hard drive dude.

Opera Troubleshooting ReportText Missing - Version: 9.0 Beta Build 8501, 6/24/2006 10:55PM PST

I updated from Oper 8 to 9 and now do not have any default text on the menu bar, any of the pull down menus, or in dialog boxes. Wow. I'm flying blind.
