Product Description:
Using P2P file sharing software such as LimeWire, uTorrent, Azureus Vuze, BitTorrent, eMule, or Ares to share music, movies, or software can expose you to lawsuits by copyright holders and identity theft. ZapShares scans and monitors your computer, identifying potential security threats caused by file sharing software, and ensures that you or someone in your household doesn't accidentally share files that could expose you to expensive lawsuits by copyright holders, or expose you and your private information to identity theft. Copyright holders only file lawsuits against P2P users who make copyrighted materials available to other P2P users for download. ZapShares solves this problem by creating a secure vault, which automatically stops files you download using your favorite P2P file sharing software from being shared with other P2P users. This feature allows you to download files safely while protecting you against expensive lawsuits.

ZapShares stopped copyright infringement notices I was getting

Ever since I ran ZapShares I no longer get those DMCA copyright infringement notices from my Internet Service Provider telling me that record companies and movie makers are going to sue me if I continue to use file sharing programs, so ZapShares works great! I’m not sure what the chances are of getting sued, but let’s just say that I’m not taking any risks.
I can use LimeWire again thanks to ZapShares! - Version: 2.4, 8/30/2009 01:33PM PST

After reading recent news reports about a woman that was fined nearly two million dollars for downloading music I was freaked out and stopped using LimeWire...until I heard about ZapShares on a message board...I've been running the software now and have not had any problems since the software moves out the songs I download...shouldn't have any issues now...

I ran ZapShares only to find that I have been sharing my tax returns and other private information over LimeWire. I also had no idea that sharing music can get a person sued. Good thing I ran ZapShares! The problem with the tax returns is fixed and now I'm not worried about being sued by those music companies. Read two recent stories about the lawsuits and was freaked out until now. Makes me feel much better having ZapShares installed to protect me. Thanks guys for the software!
