Product Description:

Use your own handwriting, or Graffiti to enter text. MobileWrite is a handwriting recognition program which converts pen strokes into letters and numbers. It is an alternative to the Graffiti and Graffiti 2 software. MobileWrite lets you select Graffiti letters or standard English letters. When using the standard letters, capital letters and lowercase letters can be written as you normally would on paper. With it's standard set of characters, and the ability to write words on the same screen as your application, letter writing or data entry can be done with less effort. You will be able to concentrate on your work, instead of the data entry. Supports French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, and Portuguese.

What's new in this version:

  • Fixed a problem with the Shorthand feature. In some cases, it would not work at the beginning of a text field.

Product Requirements:

  • PalmOS 5.x

MobileWrite ReviewGreat idea, but don't waste your money... - Version: 3.5, 5/28/2006 10:13PM PST

This is a really great concept, but the process of implementing it can be described as wonky, at best.

Don't waste your money. This is a feature that Palm, if they continue to be around, will implement into all of their PDAs--free of charge. When they do, they will hopefully make the program a bit more elegant.

Almost as good as the Apple Newton's handwriting software, Rosetta. Great and great price too. Only downfall, it doesn't discriminate between words. You need to '-' dash in a space.
