Spy Hunter is kind of a weird premise now that I look back at it. For some reason, the highways are crawling with driving Spies. Your mission is to knock the Spies off the road, without killing the innocent civilians which are all over the highway as well. Your default weapon is a set of machine guns mounted to the front of your sexy red sports car. But the occasional special weapons truck can stock you up with all of the same weapons that you had in the arcade. Just drive up the ramp into the weapons truck to get everything from oil slicks, smoke screens, and missiles. Watch out for sneaky enemies, icy roads, and special detours. You can even turn your car into a boat and race the waterways to wash out the enemy there, too!
The game play is fast and bug free. A lot of times these arcade game ports to the Palm sacrifice game speed and crash a lot, but not Spy Hunter. Midway and Pocket Express did a great job in bringing this game to the Palm.
If you are in your late-twenty's, you probably have tons of memories playing Spy Hunter on your old Nintendo 64. I completely recommend putting this little game on your Palm.
