On the plus side is clearly the feature that Ofice and PDF files can be directly read and modified without conversion.

I hoped that this would largely reduce my need of printing documents on paper.

Unfortunately, some serious flaws almost annihilate the features.

Well, perhaps they have to do with my Palm or my expansion card.

But it appears that Docs To Go is the only application that causes my Palm TX to reset while opening files from the expansion card (Toshiba, 1 GB). So far I have experienced it mostly with larger .doc and .pdf files.

The other problem is how PDF documents are displayed. My Palm has a high res screen but display/scaling is pretty bad, I would expect a result that is more readable. Moreover, switching between resolutions is too slow, again, this might not be the fault of the software. I don't expect Laptop-like performance and I would not mention this if my Palm was old. However, this is a recent model (Palm TX) and on a device that can play back movies you would expect that the hardware has enough muscle to handle display and scaling of fonts.

This is sometimes pretty frustrating. Especially when trying to present documents to colleagues. Makes you feel like a beta-tester. And unfortunately, I almost never use it for serious work.
