Product Description:

Developing PalmOS applications is easy with CASL, simply point and click to place visual objects onto the simulated display, then provide instructions for the PalmPilot (Palm III, Palm IIIx, Palm V, Palm VII, PalmPilot, and Pilot 1000,5000) to perform when those objects are triggered. Test the program on your PC, then download it to run on the PalmPilot. It's that easy.

The description says "Any Hardware/Any OS". That's a lie. The download is an .exe file, which won't work on any Mac OS unless you happen to have Virtual PC or Parallels.

CASL ReviewNot Mac, but... - Version: 4.3, 7/9/2006 06:52AM PST

It runs in VirtualPC and will most likely run in a Windows partition on one of the new Intel Macs. It is never going to run natively on a Macintosh - CASLSoft is not going to rewrite it for that, ever. Get used to that sad fact.

The IDE itself works well enough, although it has a bad habit of always preferring the last files used when opening new projects. I am not a big time developer (and I am a Mac user) so I do not have tons of history with it, but for writing simple applications, it does pretty much every thing you need to do.

What I have noted is missing is radio buttons and some of the OS calls are a little unusual.
